3 weeks later. the lexus needed to be run for a bit so I took it out and drove around for 45 minutes. It was NOT happy about sitting for 3 weeks. Flat spots on the tires (worked out quickly) and a load of rust on the brakes. Also, there is a new creaking noise....meh.

Flat spots from 3 weeks of sitting?? Man, either your tires are really soft/deformable or I’m really unobservant. I’ve driven cars that sat for years and didn’t notice flat spotting.

they are soft and deformable, winters in a narrower then normal size.

How were you in the drivers seat? I was really anxious after my accident and had to ease back into it.

I didnt have an issue. I was looking forward to it. It was more a test of: can i still move in the range of motions I need.

(Also, my accident was on a bike not car, so no real negative feelings here)

I have a set that I notice flat spotting if the car has been sitting for only a few days.  They work out after a mile or two.  Only set of tires that I’ve ever noticed that do this.

Mine are still fucked on the M3 for sitting twice as long. They work out once the tires heat up, but it’s every time.

That’s good.  Did you have much physical therapy?  Is range of motion back to normal?

I can’t believe I missed all of those. Glad your okay. Good gear really does pay off. It’s been a tough 12 months for the Daytona’s on Oppo.

I vote for the P anigale 899.

Get back i n the saddle. I’m going out this weekend. First time for me since I laid my down. It’s been too long but winter will do that.

I drove my lexus after sitting for a month. And she was happy to stretch her legs.

Right now I need to get the money out of the insurance company...and then see what I can insure next. (because FUCK canadian insurance...I likely wont find anything less then 3K liability only for a SS now)

But we will see.
